Faith: A Powerful Tool & Weapon

As Christians begin their journey of growth in the Lord, they are to realize the challenges that lie ahead. These challenges are not your run of the mill trials, they are situations set up by the devil to take a Christian out. Satan realizes that Christians have been equipped with a powerful tool and weapon called faith. Faith is the link to everything in your Christian walk. If a Christian fails to conduct and live their life by faith, they have failed to please God. For the Bible declares that without faith it is impossible to please God. There is nothing more attractive to God than a breathing faith. In all my years of studying the Word of God, I have yet to find a scripture where Jesus applauds how a Christian impressed Him with their love. I am not diminishing the major necessity of love, for God is love. But on the other hand, I have read several passages where Jesus raved about an active faith. Jesus celebrated the faith of the Roman centurion soldier; rewarded the faith of the persistent woman; saw the faith of the four men carrying the paralytic; and healed the blind man according to his faith. Faith is like a muscle. In order for you to get the maximum use out of your faith, you must develop it with use. This is why the Bible speaks of little faith, strong in faith, where is your faith, weak in faith and one not having much faith. Consequently, the Bible is clear about how faith must be developed in order to become strong faith. Delve into God’s word and discover how you can develop strong faith that will cause you to walk in victory every day of your life.

Success begins with belief

The power to believe is the most explosive energy that can be released in the heart of a person. Neutrality is the position of belief; its force will move in the direction that a person aims. The effects of belief are just as powerful when moving toward negativity as it is when it’s targeted toward positive things. Nonetheless, believing is everything when it comes to success. What you choose to believe makes all the difference between failure and success. Henry Ford was the man who said, “The man who believes that he can and the man that believes he cannot are both right.” Your life story is not written with a pen, but with your actions. To do nothing is the way to be nothing. I have learned to never place a question mark where God places a period. Believing something does not make it so. You can believe that there is a Santa Claus, but that does not make it so. Believing is the first step toward accomplishment. However, accomplishment comes when you have faith for what you believe. Jesus said, “Believe in God, believe also in Me…” The initial aim of your believing should be to believe that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit do exist. Then, you must believe in His word, His prophets, and last, yourself. Believing in this order solidifies why you should believe in yourself. As you believe in this order, your heart will burst into a thousand suns of energy to accomplish anything you set your faith to believe. Only then are all things possible to him that believes. Dare to believe; and faith will find a way for it to happen.

The church is the most important institution on planet earth

The church is the most important institution on planet earth, just as Israel is the single, most important nation to God as it relates to end-time events. From the time of their inception, both Israel and the church have been under scrutiny and malicious attacks. It does not move me much when the church is attacked by the world, but I have a tremendous concern when its own body members attack the church. It is like a cancer, when the cells mutate and attack good cells in the body. The body of Christ is collaborating with the world to attack the body of Christ. We are fully aware that the church has enemies, but we are not so sure of how to detect these enemies within the body. This of course is of great concern. Due to the validity of well-known and accepted ministers of the gospel, these spiritual leaders have just as much influence on church members and can confuse many of Christ’s followers. Ministers and Pastors of large churches and ministries are being investigated for allegedly using church funds to live exquisite lifestyles. This is another attempt of the devil to silence the voices of ministers that are teaching the full gospel. And if teaching people to be practical and yet spiritual in learning to pay off their debts, own homes and businesses, and giving to the church or to the men of God according to the Holy Scriptures are reasons to silence and defame these ministers, then shut down large conglomerates as well. I look at the professional athletes and team owners who are making millions of dollars, which come from high priced tickets that poor people are unable to afford. They are not scrutinized and under investigation for unethical practices. Lawyers who abuse the justice system for their own personal gain and sue a company for hundreds of millions and sometimes billions, but there is no investigation as to the integrity of the case. On the other hand, there are those high paid CEOs who make millions of dollars with severance pay and benefits that could feed or pay for health care of many under privileged families. No one seems to want to attack the people whose companies are raising prices on their products so that the company can meet the salaries of CEOs. If the church is responsible for neglecting the poor of our country, let it be known that our government, American businesses, and millions of people are guilty as well. Let us not look only at institutions and wealthy individuals, let us throw in the upper and middle-income personnel who give less than 2 percent of their income to charity. All Americans are then greedy for owning more than one pair of shoes, more than one clothing outfit hanging in their closet, and, of course, having a variety of foods to choose. We throw away more food in this country than any other country on this planet. The thousands of restaurants in America could feed all of our nation’s hungry if they would give their leftovers to rescue missions and individual families. Do not investigate the Pastor or Minister who has experienced success in ministry without investigating yourself and the entire American public. If one is guilty, then we are all guilty. All of us can do more for the poor and for those families who are struggling financially due to the lack of proper teaching concerning money management. Obviously, the church pastor with a congregation of 100 cannot afford to live like the pastor of a church of 10,000 members; no more can a bank teller or teacher live the lifestyle of a successful actor or professional athlete. The degree of success determines the quality of lifestyle.

Have you taken a close look inside yourself?

Have you taken a close look inside yourself to see who and what kind of person you really are? Are you completely happy with your life and the direction it is going? Are you living in the present with regrets of your past? If you owned a successful small business and there was no room for error in hiring the right personnel, and the position demanded the pay of a million dollars annually, would you feel confident in hiring yourself? You would be surprised at how few people trust themselves with someone else’s things. Of course, no one wants to be responsible for losing another person’s most prized possession. However, consider what it says about a person who does not trust him or herself with another person’s things. Being irresponsible does not exempt a person from having to be responsible. The road to success is filled with you carrying the stuff others have poured into you; and you are expected to live the results of your mentors’ great information. People are born with the responsibility of living God’s plan for their lives. Your life is a gift from God, and the success you make out of your life is your gift to God. Paraphrasing what the Bible says, “If you cannot take care of what belongs to another man, how can God trust you with what is your own?” The engine that drives you to success is passion and persistence. Without it, you have nothing which can take you nowhere.

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”

-Calvin Coolidge.
