A Revolutionary Reaction

Change is inevitable. Change is durable. Everything is subjected to change. Change is a powerful agent because it has the ability to stage-manage all forms of structures, including the human body. Where change is not forced, but left to its own judgment, it reduces the quality of things to its lowest common characteristic.

God gave to man the ability to monitor change, to slow down its progress or to speed it up. For instance, aging and death is inevitable, but maintaining good health slows the aging process and possibly defers death for a time. In other words, good health, due to eating right and exercise is the slowest possible rate of death. Imagine what happens to the human body when exercise is abandon and eating right is discarded; the body slowly deteriorates and the rate of death accelerates. Well, this is what happens to our finances. Our money problems cannot be fixed left to its own. Anything left to its own weakness will eventually be devoured by the devastating power of change to reduce its quality to its lowest possible condition.

Forcing change to increase the probability of something changing for the better takes a well thought-out and calculated effort on the part of the individual. Ignoring bills will not make them go away, but acknowledging them and attacking their onslaught of attack, will weaken its defenses. When bills are dealt with and paid, one payment at a time, despite the amount, it neutralizes their effects.

You have the ability and authority to impinge upon change the direction you want it to go. Impose your will onto your negative financial situation. Making calls to your creditors and informing them of what you will do, will cause them to negotiate with you because they want their money. Do not be intimidated about writing all your bills down on a sheet of paper. Moreover, do not avoid any of them despite how shocked you are with the amount you owe. Remember, it not how much you owe that matters, what matters is how much you own. When you owe, it creates a deficit, paying off what you owe generates an asset.

I also believe that if you act poor, then you must believe you are. Believing is more important than knowledge. How you see yourself and your situation will certainly become the lifestyle you will live. Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” Change the mental photograph you have in your mind of your finances, marriage, or education and watch your world begin to change. Now, please understand, trying this is not a full commitment to doing it. If you only attempt to test and see if it works than all you will produce is a warped concept of an unclassified imagination. Good habits will attract good things. Bad habits attract bad things.

You can give more, live more, do more and become more then you ever thought, if you will only believe more! Start Believing TODAY!

Power For Living

Have you ever felt a sense of hopelessness about a situation in your life or feeling completely powerless to change your circumstances? Well, welcome to the club, because anybody who have ever thought of doing anything have at one some time in their life looked up at a huge mountain of things to do that seemingly put their goals beyond their reach.

People often approach me with the thought of starting a business, but they are quickly discouraged when they discover the paperwork that must be completed and the funds that are necessary in order to begin their dream business. Having a desire to start a business or to author a book is not the motivation that will propel a person to not only start but also complete their endeavor. Government agencies encourage people to pursue funds from the government that are offered to serious people. Government bureaucracy red tape is only a deterrent for those who are not serious about pursuing the much-needed assistance that may be offered to the general population concerning start-up business grants or low interest loans. As a result, their dreams will usually come to a squelching halt because they did not take into account how laborious and painstaking it is to start a business.

Listen to me! You do not have to be shoved around like some rag-doll by fear and dissuasion. You can discover the power to stand up to the bully of success, which is fear, and never feel powerless again. Feeling powerless and being powerless are two different positions, and feeling powerless does not make it so. The impediment that stand between your dream endeavor and starting it is not the lack of knowledge or money; it is simply apprehension that it may be too hard or too much of a price to pay to start a business. Therefore, failure is the image that must be changed mentally before you will ever believe you can set your dream in motion.

People have gone to great lengths to protect their emotion of fear so that in the eyes of relatives, friends, and associates their personal image may not become tainted. They want people to see them as powerful and daring. Therefore, they lie and shield their fears with anecdotes and excuses to misdirect the focus off them. In truth, they are frightened of the challenge and they have chosen to sit back in the comfort of mediocrity. People do not drown because they cannot swim; they drown because they believe they cannot swim. If a person drowns, it is because they panic and fight the water until they are completely exhausted. Afterward, their body then will float to the top. You do not have to drown in order to float on top of water, you can simply decide to relax (be at ease) and you will find yourself floating on the ocean. When people lose the fear of something, he or she can learn to master it; but as long as fear dominates a person, the thing they are fearful of will dominate them.

I would like to think that I am interested in wanting the best for people I love and mentor, especially those I am intimately engaged with on a daily and weekly basis. However, my nurturing image of what many of them can become and the things I believe they are capable of accomplishing, are oftentimes in conflict with where they have chosen to settle instead of pursuing their highest aspiration.

Stop living in fear and start fearlessly living. Life is short and filled with frustrations, disappointments, and failure. However, on the other hand, life is inundated with contentment, pleasures, and fulfillment. My friend, it is how you see it. Frustrations can become advantageous, disappointments can become fulfilled appointments, and failure can be replaced with success. The choice is yours! Choose today, how you are going to live the rest of your life. Remember, how you live tomorrow is determined by the things you do today.

Navigating Your Way to Wealth

Since we are living in such unpredictable and complicated times, it is vital that people have a sense about how to navigate their way to success. Learning to dictate the direction your life is going to take during uncertainty in our economy and instability in our government is vital in maintaining mental focus and structure. Control, with a sense of calmness is the key component to avoid panic and frustration that occur while battling the giants of discouragement and mental bankruptcy.

While many of Americans are seemingly drowning in an ocean of despondency, many people are looking for rafters to float on instead of swimming to the shores of safety. Since times are turbulent and unpredictable, it is time to make a conscious decision to predict the direction of the shaking to balance your thoughts and actions. In other words, like a surfer, you must balance and navigate yourself on the waves of financial turmoil and turn the ride into a profitable and exciting one.

You and I cannot do much about the financial mess our country has settled into. However, we can do something amazingly incredible, which can strengthen our resolve against possibly yielding to and being negatively affected by the fear that blankets this era. We can create opportunities to first develop a pattern for success and then teach others how to succeed with our proven method.

There is no greater story that can illustrate what I am writing about than the story of Harriet Tubman. She was a black female slave that lived during one of the darkest periods of American history. She was born in 1820 during a time when America was becoming increasingly divided on the issue of slavery. These were horrible times for slaves and hundreds of thousands of slaves were horribly mistreated and demeaned as human beings. Especially when slaves would be caught after trying to escape, their punishment was worst any domestic animal would ever be treated by a human being. Harriet Tubman watched her brother attempt his escape from slavery three times and all three times, he would be recaptured and brought back to the plantation. Even though her brother could never escape to freedom, it did not detour her from properly planning and navigating her own escape.

Harriet Tubman, self-emancipated slave fled from Maryland to freedom in Philadelphia in 1849 along the secret route to freedom known as the Underground Railroad in which she became the conductor. For the next 10 years after her successful escape, she made repeated secret trips back to Maryland and other slave states, leading over 300 escaped slaves, (including her brother who could never succeed on his own), north to freedom in Canada. Even though her husband, who was a free slave, had threatened to inform her master of her attempt to escape, she went triumphantly through the night believing she would succeed.

How could this uneducated black female slave accomplish such a task during a time there was a bounty on her head for more than forty thousand dollars which was a lot of money in those days? Was she completely oblivious to the dangers of her travel and the almost insurmountable obstacles that stood in her path? The answer is an emphatic no! Harriet Tubman knew of the repercussions if she were caught and completely aware of the dangers and possible spies deployed to catch her. However, she ignored them all and diligently fled to freedom.

Like Harriet Tubman, you too can navigate your way through the darkest of night, the rough terrain of high unemployment, and the uncertainty of our economy and yet succeed. Hard times does not keep you from success, it just creates greater challenges to success. In order to navigate through tough times emotionally, spiritually, and financially you must become tougher than the present time. Maintain your focus and sobriety and do not allow yourself to become drunk on the eve of reconstruction. You can navigate your way out of debt and into wealth. Stay in control of your actions and your actions will cause favorable circumstances that will not leave you barren or unproductive despite the times.

Don’t Wait for the Chance of a Lifetime

Does it pay to wait for opportunities or should we create them? Opportunities will rarely come to those who sit on their couch watching the soaps. In fact, sitting in your living room waiting for a hand to come out of heaven with a million dollars in it is just as unlikely as a leopard changing its spots to stripes.

One old cliché says, “Good things come to those who wait.” I say that good things are the leftovers from people that got the best things because they decided not to wait. The great and always funny comedian, Jonathan Winters, once said, “I couldn’t wait for success so I went on without it.” People will not always recognize your talent, but they will give voice to your persistence.

Are you sitting and waiting for someone or something extraordinary to happen for you? Have you been sitting back in hope that God will somehow touch someone’s heart to give you enough money to start your business? Have you thought about the opportunities you miss on a daily basis while waiting for your miracle? Let’s face it; opportunities are more frequent than miracles. I am not belittling or dismissing the reality of miracles. I am merely stating the truth when it comes to a person that is in position to make something positive happen for him or herself.

The person who sits back and hopes that something will happen in their favor is usually lacking inspiration. Discover ways to ignite your inspiration. What kinds of people inspire you? Start looking for inspiration in the most unlikely places. In fact, look for inspiration everywhere—in movies, books, TV Shows or people you encounter daily. Some of the most highly paid people in the nation are in the business of inspiring others. Many of these wealthy people have claimed to receive their inspiration from helping others. For instance, Oprah Winfrey, she inspires millions while she herself is inspired by the people her foundation has helped. The Oprah Winfrey Foundation has helped to empower women, children and families by providing opportunities for a better education, start up businesses and other worthy causes. She is known as the greatest female philanthropist in the United States because she helps people help themselves. I believe because she is such a giver to the cause of humankind, her mind is constantly open to more ideas to increase her billionaire status.

Inspiration has always come from giving and so does opportunity. Sir John Templeton asked himself this question; “Is it my philosophy that what I am given—in terms of my abilities, my intelligence, and my material success—should be returned to the world in some form that will help others?” By answering yes to this question, you are already a giver and your life is enriched. Keep in mind that spiritual progress and material success are closely connected. Never be afraid to give. Serve others and you serve yourself. If you are intimidated about giving, you lock yourself out of opportunities and can become completely blind to the ones that are right in front of your face.

You can live an incredible wealthy life if you can believe that you can live an incredible wealthy life. Unfortunately, most people believe just the opposite. Therefore, these people struggle with increasing their wealth, but have no problem with increasing their debt. They are disgruntled, discouraged, and often depressed about everything in their world. However, it does not have to be this way. Incomes of people have changed just because they started thinking differently and speaking differently. Beloved, that is all that is needed—an attitude adjustment. If you look up there is no limit, but if you look down, you are standing on it.
