In order to make an impact on today’s society, it will require more than just having an idea. You’ve heard the old cliché, “Ideas are a dime a dozen,” but I say the one who does whatever it takes to transport that idea into reality will make millions. For this to happen, it requires out-of-the-box thinking and actions with radical strategic moves that will distinguish you from the slew of professional dreamers that talk a good game. With more than 7 billion people on this planet, what makes you and your dream different? What makes what you do any different from the next person? Is it how you do it or is it how you sell it?

Most people think they can easily start and efficiently run a successful business, but I will tell you that to become a power player in this highly aggressive and competitive market or to become an achievement magnate does not begin with the simple launch of a business concept. No, it begins with the cultivation of your mind and will. You have to be absolutely certain that being in business is not only what you want to do, but that it is in your DNA to own and operate your own dream business. I strongly believed that the potential to start and run a business was placed within me by my Creator before I was born. However, to harness and develop this rare intrinsic quality didn’t come without listening to several business midwives to help birth this ability.

Do you believe God wants you in business? I can tell you that God does want some of you in business for yourself, but not by yourself. God wants to help you to succeed in business. Don’t give in to this false notion that God is not interested in business. This is far from the truth. To own and operate a business helps to serve your community by providing goods and services. If God is concerned with business ethics, then He is concerned about business. Christians have to understand this as well as anyone else.

Being your own boss sounds attractive until you realize what it all entails. You must be mentally and somewhat physically prepared to work long hours. Your family has to already be balanced and mentally sure of your devotion to them before entering the business world. The daily demands of running your own business and the constant unpredictable situations that will most likely arise can overtake your life, and cause the lines between home and work to become vague.

However, if running your own business is what you really want and you are fully aware of the cost—go for it! Considering the nature of most businesses, you may have to give up most of your evenings and possibly weekends. Many business owners use their evenings and some weekends to catch up on admin work, which can be tedious and exhausting.

In order to start and get your business rolling, it will demand a lot of your attention. Despite all your planning, the unexpected is sure to pop up. So, don’t expect time off like those who work a regular job. Many people who work for themselves cannot afford to take three to four weeks of vacation holiday each year, especially in the first several years. You might have to give up social activities you enjoy, for a time, at least, and use that time to mingle at city Chamber meetings. Friends and family might not get to see you as much as you or they would like. This is why having a secure relationship with your spouse is paramount because he or she can so easily give in to feeling neglected. You will have to manage your time wisely, so that when you are with your family, you will give them your undivided attention.

Are you ready to pay the cost? If so, there are other costs that come into play in order to be the boss. It’s easy to get carried away with the attractive characteristics of starting and owning a successful business, but the reality is, you will most likely have to wear more than one hat as the owner. You must be prepared to be the receptionist, assistant, delivery person, and the janitor. Without question, success only comes at a premium. To integrate mind adjustment principles, along with business savvy will make you unstoppable in both your life and your business. There was once a man who liked doing business, but he loved playing golf—his favorite hobby. One day, he stopped spinning his wheels on how to make a buck with his business, and started living his life doing what he really loved. He ended up playing golf professionally, and made more money playing golf than he did doing business. Now this is what I call simple optimization.

Control Environment MB TextHave you ever felt a sense of hopelessness about a situation in your life or felt completely powerless to change your circumstances? Well, welcome to the club! Anybody who has ever thought of attempting anything worthwhile, has at some time in their life, looked up at a huge mountain of things to do, which seemed beyond their reach to complete. This viewpoint leads many people to never set goals, for fear they will not score.

People often approach me with the thought of starting a business, but they are quickly discouraged when they discover the amount of paperwork which must be completed, or the funds which are necessary to begin. Having a desire to start a business or to author a book is not motivation enough to propel a person to not only start, but also complete the endeavor.

Government agencies encourage people to pursue government funds which are offered to serious people. Bureaucratic red tape is a deterrent only to those who are not serious enough to pursue much-needed assistance, which may be offered to the general public through start-up business grants or low interest loans. As a result, their dreams will usually come to a squelching halt because they did not take into account how laborious and painstaking it is to start a business.

Listen to me! You do not have to be dissuaded or shoved around like some rag-doll by fear. You can discover the power to stand up to the bully of success, which is fear, and never feel powerless again. Feeling powerless and being powerless are two different positions, and feeling powerless does not make it so. The impediment standing between you and starting your dream endeavor, is not the lack of knowledge or money; it is simply the apprehension that it may be too hard or too much of a price to pay. Therefore, failure is the mental image which must be changed before you will ever believe you can set your dream in motion.

People have gone to great lengths to protect their emotion of fear so that in the eyes of relatives, friends, and associates, their personal image is not tainted. They want people to see them as powerful and daring. Therefore, they lie and shield their fears with anecdotes and excuses to direct the focus away from them. In truth, they are frightened of challenges and they have chosen to sit back in the comfort of mediocrity. Don’t look to manage your fears, learn how to cripple them before they cripple you.

People do not drown because they cannot swim; they drown because they believe they cannot swim. If a person drowns, it is because they panic and fight the water until they are completely exhausted. Afterwards, their bodies float to the top. You do not have to drown in order to float on top of water, you can simply decide to relax (be at ease) and you will find yourself floating. When people lose the fear of something, they can learn to master it; but as long as fear dominates a person, the thing they are fearful of will dominate them.

I would like to think that I am interested in wanting the best for people I love and mentor, especially those I am intimately engaged with on a daily and weekly basis. However, my nurturing image of what many of them can become, and the things I believe they are capable of accomplishing is oftentimes in conflict with where they have chosen to settle instead of pursuing their highest aspirations.

Stop living in fear and start fearlessly living. Life is short and filled with frustrations, disappointments, and failures. On the other hand, life is inundated with contentment, pleasures, and fulfillment. Failure and disappointment do not define you; they are designed to refine you.

My friend, it is how you see it. Frustrations can become advantageous, disappointments can become fulfilled appointments, and failure can be replaced with success. The choice is yours! Choose today, how you are going to live the rest of your life. Remember, how you live tomorrow is determined by the things you do today. Decision Determines Destiny!

The Dominant Quality In Leaders Of Distinction

This means putting the right person in the right role and surrounding that person with the right personnel. By doing so, corporate decision makers can increase the chances of producing a profit for its investors and show significant growth by the end of the year. So, what should their question be before starting their hunt for such a person(s)?

The primary question should not be, “Who is a difference maker?” Rather, it should be, “What qualities make one a difference maker?” Once this is established, the manhunt can begin since the search will narrow in on qualities rather than a person. Many mistakes have been made by people in search of the one person they believe can help change things for them or their team. Whether corporate or personal, judging and sizing up a person based on their present condition, or outward appearance, may prove to be impractical.

People who possess qualities which make them stand out aren’t as easily discernable. One reason, is they are not ambitious, nor do they have need of a title to define them. You may find a person who knows how to say the right words and is an over achiever, but lacks discipline and integrity. The person who is truly a difference maker is more interested in the quality of their work, than their work looking as though it has quality.

Let me explain what I consider to be an attribute. An attribute is a quality or characteristic of someone or something which gives credit for things such as a body of work, art, or a saying. An attribute can be considered a standard or conviction which causes a person to stand out. Imagine being in the company of difference makers who care about making a difference in society and in the lives of others.

What do you have when an entire team of people with difference maker qualities come together? What you have is a winning combination who can never be defeated. A difference maker is someone who is willing and able to fill all aspects of their role with confidence, who consistently delivers on objectives, and who follows or leads their team to peak performance. They understand their role is as essential as the next man’s. In many cases, a difference maker shakes things up, brings forth change, and demands results from themselves and their colleagues. They aren’t interested in being popular; they want success for the company or team even if it means not leading. With this attitude they will hit their targets and inspire their teams to do the same.

Difference makers are self-motivated. Difference makers are honest, they don’t cover up mistakes, and they are completely accountable for what works and what doesn’t work. They take full responsibility for their actions and results. You can’t tell if these people are difference makers by looking at them; their qualities are exposed by interacting with them. They are proactive, solution-oriented, and take-action people. Their values align with those of their organization or team, and these values drive day-to-day behaviors to pursue excellence.

How does a company, small business, or individual find a Difference Maker? Well, you can’t find them in the Yellow Pages. In the brawl for gifted able bodies, the challenges most organizations face are not limited to the simple unavailability of competent people. The hiring process is not set up to properly identify those who can truly make a difference. Focusing only on the skills and experience needed, the interviewer often pays too little attention to values, motivations, habits, work styles, behaviors, and cognitive abilities. Stop qualifying a person for where your company presently is, and start looking for those individuals who may not have all the skills, but who are willing to be molded into the person you need, not just want. Don’t look for the mate who completes you, look for the person who complements you.

Companies should design employment programs to become mentors to their employees instead of employers. Difference Makers are developed into their role not fit into it.

Unsolicited Consequences

A consequence is something that follows as a result. Consequences can be good or bad, however, it is the relation between a result and its cause. If it is a negative result, it means a previous action resulted in an unpleasant or difficult outcome. There’s one thing about consequences – we all pay them.

Can you recall a time where you’ve personally said or done something for which you felt the consequences were unwarranted? No one ever complains and wonders why good things are happening to them, but most people are usually very confused as to why negative consequences occur. Negative consequences would never materialize without them first being paid for. Every consequence is paid in advance.

Now I believe, there is a cause and effect, and a ripple effect for everything everyone does, and those actions can have positive consequences as well as negative. Everyone has to make their own decisions, however you have to be able to accept the consequences without complaining. A person’s acceptance of what has taken place is the first step toward overcoming any unfortunate consequence. Everything has positive or negative consequences, and I can’t repeat this enough.

Sometimes, tremendous consequences come from what we sometimes consider to be little or insignificant decisions or actions. When the results seem to have a more devastating effect, I am tempted to think there is no such thing as little decisions or actions. On the other hand, small actions and decisions can also result in gigantic results.

Most youth never take into consideration the consequences of their actions until it is too late. How much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it. Is it possible to get in the way of someone’s consequences for an act they committed? Nothing is free in this world; either you pay your own consequences or someone else does. Choices made, whether good, bad, or indifferent, follow you forever and affect everyone in their path one way or another. Some of a person’s emotional scars can be the result of another person’s emotional pain. Hurt people; hurt people.

The way I avoid, as much as I can, the foolishness of someone else’s actions, is to mentally be aware of their capability. It’s similar to making a conscience decision, while you’re driving, to drive for the other guy as well. When you see someone swerving back and forth on the road, stay a good distance behind them or they may inadvertently cause an accident for you.

Without reflection, we blindly go on our way, generating more unintended consequences, and always falling short of achieving anything useful. The actions we take and the decisions we make in this waking moment will have consequences reaching far into our futures. It doesn’t matter if we don’t mean to do the things we do. It means nothing if it was an accident or a mistake. It doesn’t even matter if we think this is all up to fate. Regardless of our destiny, we still have to answer for our actions; and our consequences are those answers.

We all make choices, big and small, every day of our lives, and those choices have consequences. Everyone is going to eventually sit at the table and eat the meal of consequences. However, you can personally be totally engaged in the effort to ensure that the consequences you eat daily, are good and beneficial, as the result of you making sure your actions and decisions are calculating consequences worth paying for.

What is Your Time Worth

MB 7-21-15 TextCan time make you rich or poor? I want you to think for a moment, and ponder on this question. Are you spending your time learning and planning to die or are you using your time learning and planning to live?

I am impressed with the urgency to do. Action is a unique word that I love to see in motion because I become thrilled by the prospect of its results. I am not impressed with just knowing something; it just isn’t enough for me. However, the application of knowledge is captivating. To be willing is not enough; I believe we must be more than willing, we must do. If people will govern the time they have to accomplish the things they truly desire for their future, they will have more time in their future to live the life they really want to live.

It is a well-known fact that people of accomplishment rarely sit back and let things happen to them. This is because they do the inside work first, something transpires within them which causes them go out and generate things to happen for them. All that occurs with passive time, are the things you don’t want to happen.

Children spend most of their time growing and learning as the world opens daily to their senses. Young people spend time searching for ways to live and enjoy life. Aging people usually stop growing and learning, and have little to no interest in searching for ways to live life, because they’ve decided the only thing remaining for the aging is to sit and wait for time to close their eyes forever. When time is spent, eternity begins. Waiting is procrastination stealing your time away. No matter how old you are, time is available to use wisely.

Living with purpose is the act of living on purpose. In other words, you have a reason to get up every morning with the anticipation that something good awaits you. You view your alarm clock as your opportunity clock alerting you of the time you have for that day. Time stays long enough for anyone who will use it. If you spend too much time thinking about doing something, you will actually end up wasting the precious time you have to do it. Most people spend more time and energy going around problems than they do trying to solve them. Life becomes more challenging when you are actually engaged in the effort, and not primarily with the results.

Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. Believe you me, when your time used wisely converts to dollars and fulfillment, it becomes worth it for you. When you value your time, you will do something with it. You will not allow others to steal it from you, nor will you give it away to undeserving people who don’t value their own time.

Think about this for a moment; your time is your life. Time is nothing but years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds gifted-wrapped as a precious present given to humanity, and it’s called life. The only difference with this gift is that it is not a surprise you know exactly what’s inside. The only issue which can possibly exist is your ignorance of knowing what to do with it. There is nothing that cannot happen today in the allotted time you have.

We all have dreams. But in order to turn dreams into reality we need to turn time into effort. Your life and dreams are like a garden which requires patient labor and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions, they thrive because someone took the time to expend the necessary effort on them.

The Balance of Success

MB Text 7-12-2015 (Balance Success)Faith is the power link to every seeable impossible desirable endeavor you may encounter. If balance is the key to life, then, faith is the power of life, and patience is the virtue of life. It is quite easy to talk about how one’s life needs balance; but how to achieve it has escaped the majority of people.

Achieving balance can be difficult because it involves knowledge, wisdom, tenacity, and action, and some people may lack adequacy in one or more of these qualities. In your Bible, the book of James says that we must not be hearers of the word only, but also doers of the word. This is where the problem comes into the equation. Most people are good at hearing to a degree, but lousy at doing. Balance, then, is formed out of sound and unbiased advice and guidance from a creditable source, and then immediately made actionable.

Faith is the power of life because it produces the ability to be tenacious. Power is power; it has no alternative to its strength and supremacy. Faith rests in its own pool of authority, and it is the force behind every movement and action. Patience is the virtue of life. It is the quality of character and the strategy to winning. Patience is needed in order to qualify the balance in one’s life, or else everything will be done in life without forethought and purpose.

Since most people are good at hearing instructions but terrible when it comes to follow through, failure is frequently inevitable. Balance is not leveling every quality off to the same degree; it is placing the importance on each quality regardless of its magnitude. When balance is achieved, it looks like the display on an equalizer component. Therefore, perfect harmony is realized because balance has been accomplished. This kind of action results not only in life becoming manageable, but also in success as being practical. There is nothing more attractive to God than a breathing faith.

Your life is at its finest when you become entrenched and completely invested in the effort but unattached from the results. I realized how difficult this can be, but it’s possible. This is the place where you are intimate with your personal power because you realize that the expedition and the exertion are important. There is a place you arrive where you must draw a line in the sand and let go of that something which has to lead you to a new position, or to a certain person loving you, or it has to lead to you making a lot of money. When your desires are discombobulated or targeted towards you feeling better about yourself, you actually become disempowered by making the goal the consummate.

I believe the goal has to do with the process itself. In reality, the end is inherited in the means. Who you are when you put forth the effort is more important than what you want to become at the end of your effort. If you are totally convinced you have nothing left in you after your effort, how can you not be content with the outcome?

Understanding the balance to success is not winning every battle or achieving every goal. It is what knowledge you are to acquire, or what skill you are to develop, or what corrections you are to make from each skirmish or attempt at something, regardless of the outcome, so that you are more prepared for the next endeavor.

I believe the degree of my personal relationships, whether professional or personal, are determined by the qualities I listed below. If you have a relationship with a person who does not add to promoting or improving your quality of life, than they are perhaps unintentionally diminishing it. These qualities will help employers as well as individuals who are interested in making the right choice of those they allow in their space.

Honesty

I look for integrity in a person’s life, because if you can’t trust a person, it is difficult to build a quality structural business or relationship. We live in a society where lying is a common practice, and no one seems to care unless they are the ones being lied to. In case you didn’t know, honesty is telling the truth. In other words, we conform our words to reality. On the other hand, integrity is conforming reality to our words. It is keeping promises and fulfilling expectations. Therefore, when I employ the term “honesty,” I am alluding to both honesty and integrity.

At the most basic level of human characteristics, an honest person does not lie. They will not exaggerate or misrepresent the facts. They do not withhold negative information. They will give you the good, the bad, and the ugly. They have the courage to face reality head-on and make their words conform to it. They would never ask someone else to lie on their behalf or to cover for them.

They are also honest in giving others feedback and they are able to be direct without being insensitive. They refuse to create unnecessary drama, and they do not say anything about those who are absent that they wouldn’t say if they were present.

Humility

An unassuming person doesn’t mean they are egotistical in a quiet way. A person with the characteristic of humility has a good sense of him or herself. They do not think more highly of themselves than they should which deals with pride, nor do they think lower of themselves than they ought which lends itself to having a poor self-esteem. They are sober-minded and usually unruffled by compliments, having a realistic grip on their strengths and weaknesses.

It is important to this person not to exhibit a life of self-importance, thinking that the world center’s around them. They may display determination and get-up-and-go for the cause, for the company, or for the team, but they are not ambitious for themselves. They are not overly-concerned about titles, status, or position in comparison to others.

Proactive

A proactive person takes a practical, hands-on approach to life. They are hungry and single-minded with an appetite for accomplishment. Metaphorically speaking, their last meal or last accomplishment is already a fading memory. They know what they want and they want it now. They are not impatient, just eager. They are looking for the next project, the next challenge or the next obstacle so they can figure it out like a Rubik’s cube.

They don’t spend their time dwelling on past accomplishments. They realize life is about living and living is about activity or movement. If a person isn’t moving, they must be dead. They are always reaching for more—setting higher goals. This is the kind of person who is driven to exceed whatever expectations have been imposed upon them. This is just a part of their make-up. They love figuring something out, especially if they have had no prior knowledge of it.

A hungry proactive person is intellectually curious. They read regularly —newspapers, magazines, and books. They love learning new things and sharing what they’ve learned with others. They can’t just sit around because it would just about kill them—not in a literal sense.

A proactive person will come to a meeting prepared, having completed his or her assignment. In the meeting, they are active listeners, asking questions and taking notes. They are not intimidated by the apathy of others or the views of others because of their active involvement and concern about getting the much needed information to do a job correctly. After the meeting, they follow up. They complete their assignments on-time without someone having to prod them to do so. They are relentless when it comes to execution. Although this is an admirable trait, others working around them are sometimes disturbed because their high-powered standards exposes the low standards they may govern their lives by.

Resolute Thinker

This is a person who is not afraid of making decisions. However, unlike strong-minded and sometimes unbendable people, the resolute thinker is one who makes calculated decisions. He or she believes rather mentally, orally, or by written annotation that collecting data is a necessity. They can easily spot a person ill prepared for their task, or a product part that is faulty or sub-standard. They will never sell or offer such a sub-quality product for the sake of a sell.

A Resolute Thinker is usually a person who exercises initiative and is very resourceful. This person is mainly resolution oriented and secondarily results responsive. In other words, to solve a problem is more important than getting the results, which may eventually reveal a lack of prioritizing for a company. He or she will work better in customer service or human resource departments. They are good at reading personalities and good at helping people figure out what they want. If you are an employer, put this person in front as a representative, and your rewards will be returned by an enormous amount of compliments.

For the employer who is looking for a good employee, these standards should be non-negotiable. It’s hard to find the buried treasure unless you have a map. It’s difficult to win a scavenger hunt unless you have a list. And, it’s impossible to hire the right people unless you know exactly what you are looking for.

Learning To Manage Distractions

MB Text 5-17-2015 (Distractions)I have heard many people call the times we live in, the age of information. This may be true to a large degree. While we are living in precarious times, new information seems to be quickly outdated. The more informed the public becomes, the more problems seem to exist, brought about by the new information. In fact, the greater the technological advancement the more distracted we become.

I call this age, “The age of great distractions.” People are rarely able to maintain any focus today, and the medical field has documented this. A.D.D., better known as Attention Deficient Disorder, is rocking both the young and aging of the Western World, making stakeholders of pharmaceutical companies supplying the drugs for treatment, very wealthy.

It used to be common culture for everyone to read the newspaper on the subway train while going to work. Advertisements were posted on city streets and in shopping malls, etc. Now a large majority of the population, seemingly everywhere, can be found with their heads buried in their mobile devices scanning the internet, their emails, Twitter accounts, and Facebook. If this is not the age of distraction, I don’t know what is.

Technology is the base cause for an increase in traffic fatalities in the United States, because texting and driving has proved to be just as deadly as drinking and driving. So although technology is good, it breeds other problems that arise as a result of new information. The faster the newer products, and things made more convenient, the more complex our problems become.

I was driving past a High School that had recently released its students from class. When I looked at the youth leaving the building, over half had their heads buried in their cell phones. Can you believe that a child walked into the street without looking and nearly got hit because he was reading something on his phone?

These are just a few examples. There are other distractions which also make it difficult to get any real work done on the job. Computers have taken all the thinking ability of humanity, leaving most Americans scatterbrained and unable to figure out or solve problems on their own. Rather than deriving from a person’s heart, the media influences dreams and ambitions via movies, advertising, and periodicals, distracting people from their true purpose.

How do you distract a man with a dream? Give him another one. People are moving from one career to another without realizing what is creating all this movement without motive. People are getting college degrees in business management, yet pursuing jobs in healthcare facilities. One person I’m familiar with moved from working as a logistics manager to a car salesperson, from that to a healthcare facilitator, and from that to a Wal-Mart employee, all in two years.

If you don’t learn to do one thing well, you will not be able to do anything well enough! Watch out for distractions because they are seriously looking to pull your attention elsewhere.

Seriously consider that your ability to get focused, and stay that way, is more than just an advisable thing to develop and nurture—it’s a decisive aspect of your success or failure. Getting things done the right way and on schedule is absolutely imperative. Staying keenly centered is the key to getting things done, because you learn to work smarter rather than harder.

Take advantage of opportunities to develop ways to help yourself stay focused at work, school, and even in your daily life, by managing your distractions and reducing the possibility for procrastination. This will help you eliminate most setbacks and delays so work is not merely thought of, but actually completed.

Change Yourself Before Change Changes You

MB Text 4-17-2015 (Change)If there is one thing constant in an endless series of episodes throughout one’s life; it is change. The objective or purpose of a person should never change, but the strategy to obtain it must frequently be modified or tweaked. Unforeseen challenges may require one to rethink and rework their strategy to tackle obstacles or struggles, which might otherwise, cripple efforts and negate objectives. It is important for a person to not be foreign to, or intimidated by change, so their approach to dealing with extenuating circumstances can be handled skillfully, and with thoughtful consideration.

Oftentimes, people sit back on their laurels without considering that the success they may have experienced yesterday, in most cases, is not adequate for motivating them to seek and pioneer new territories. Therefore, instead of continuing to seek new ways to keep their lives and businesses fresh and relevant, they become blind to their indifference to change. It is at this point, where life ends up making choices for people while forcing upon them a ‘must’ choice for which they are ill-prepared, both mentally and spiritually, to make on their own. If you, by choice, are not the mid-wife of the emerging newness waiting to envelop your life, your efforts are inadvertently helping to sustain your old way of life.

While one portion of your dream can be crumbling, another part of it may be budding; seeking to be born. One phase of your life can be on the verge of total collapse, while another segment of your life is struggling to gain access and existence into your world. My advice to you is to learn and practice the profession of a midwife. This way, you will know how to deliver even those dreams that are breach coming through the birth canal.

Change is inevitable and so are choices. It is better to change life on your own terms, into what you want it to be, rather than wait for circumstances to force change in your life which produces undesirable results.

Too often, I have heard people refer to situations as being able to somehow work themselves out; as if they can correct themselves? I have never seen a mess clean itself up, nor have I ever encountered a solution to a problem not deriving from a person. When something is maintaining instead of thriving, it is slowly dying.

I spoke with a gentleman who told me his 92 year old grandmother had recently died. He said his grandmother worked until she was 87 and stayed active until she was 91. He said the moment she became inactive, she died. The same thing usually happens to people who are young and goalless. There is a 74 year old man who is able to bench press almost three times his weight, and if you were to see him, you would know that he must love life. On the other hand, there is a 29 year old man who is perfectly healthy, but mentally, he is slowing dying. He acts as if he has no energy, he has no dreams, and he’s always complaining about how life seems to have dealt him a bad hand. This young man is just as dead at 29 as the older woman was at 92.

Life requires action! Change is necessary for life to be fluent and graceful. My friend, rehearsal is over, the curtain is open and the lights are on; now live! Don’t lock change out; embrace it, own it, and use it according to your terms. Do not allow change to change your life without your approval.
