Give It Your All Or Don’t Do It At All

Giving it your all textWould You Like to Discover Why a Poor Black Youth Became a Billionaire?

More progress and opportunities in life are forfeited by half hearted efforts than one can ever imagine. Something is deficient in a person’s character when they relapse into obscurity when what they are pursuing doesn’t happen fast enough. This can easily cause the average person to become cynical and skeptical of opportunities. In fact, their cynicism reveals itself in their behavior and lack of drive. They become nonchalant or casual in their efforts because they’ve lost hope of anything ever happening favorable for them.

Sustained success will never come to those who are casual in their endeavors. And, if you are in a hurry to be successful, you will inevitably end up making one blunder after another. Whatever you do, it has to be intentional and purposeful. Choose the battles worth fighting and only fight if there is benefit involved. Learn to take your time. Success is always in walking distance. You either have to give it your all, or don’t give it at all.

If you do something half-heartedly, you have more of a chance of losing both whatever you want, and the possibly yourself in the process. You can’t allow fear or apathy to dictate to you because they can cause you to miss out on living your best life. If you’re going to have a chance at succeeding, you have to give it your all, despite the challenges. Oftentimes, failures are experienced by people who give up before realizing how close they are to success.

I’ve discovered that just knowing something isn’t enough; you have to apply the knowledge. To be willing may sound admirable, but this is not enough; you have to employ action to make things work. You must become the change you want to see. Unless you change, nothing will change around you.

One of the greatest weaknesses in life is giving up. The most certain way to succeed in life is always to do it just one more time when something doesn’t work. Do not fear mistakes because God specializes in turning mistakes into miracles. The only way failure can actually exist is if a person is no longer willing to get up. People with options are usually those who anticipate failure in what they are doing, so they run to the next endeavor before they fulfill the expectation of the first.

How do you kill a man with a dream—give him another one. It is easy to give into distractions when your dream doesn’t seem to be working out. Most people struggle with perseverance and would rather capitulate to the circumstances than fight for their dream. It was George Burns who said, “I honestly think it is better to be a failure at something you love, than to be a success at something you hate.”

What you want to do, and what you can do, is limited only by what you believe you can do. Your dream, your business, your family, and your life must be valued enough to lose the fear of opposition; you must work hard and do whatever it takes to achieve success in these areas. This is how you will grow.

There are only two categories of people—the ones who will give their all and the ones who admire the ones who will give their all. Those who give 50%, also give 50 excuses why something can’t be done … Those who give 100%, just do it.

When challenges create a need for me to step out of my comfort zone and exert more energy than I might be willing to give, I consider how preserving beyond them will benefit me more than the discomfort. I could easily come up with 50 reasons why something can’t be done, but how is that productive? It’s always better for me to just do it!

Michael Jordan was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He did not have extra gold dust sprinkled on him at birth. He had the same possibilities as anyone else—he just had a greater desire to succeed than most. After being cut from his high school basketball team, he learned a valuable lesson. If you are going to succeed in living your dream, it’s going to take more than talent…it’s going to take you giving your all.

It’s not as important to know how he became a billionaire, as it is important to know why he became one. The why always exceeds the how! Therefore, whatever you do in life; whether it’s playing sports, being a student, a janitor, or working as the manager of an assembly line, if you can discover the why you want something bad enough, the how will manifest with ease.

Whatever you do in life, give it your all or don’t do it at all. It’s not worth doing, if your heart is not in what you’re doing. If You Want More Out Of Your Life? Give It Your All, Give It Your All, Give It Your All!

The Worst Thing I Ever Did With The Best Advice I Ever Received

worst200Attention, Attention! Listen up, don’t be an idiot like I was—listen to my advice. I know how many of you can talk about all the stupid things you’ve done in your lifetime, but can it be more stupid than missing out on millions of dollars? I have since moved on, but that one bit of information helped me to never pass on another good opportunity.

When I was in the Army, one of my duty stations was at FT. BLISS, TEXAS located in El Paso, from 1976 to 1978. At that time, the population of El Paso was over 360,000 and just as dry as it is today. I had no plans to live in El Paso because of its size and the lack of entertainment and other activities for children. Being from Chicago, I was used to a large population with a host of activities to keep anyone busy over the weekend. To say the least, staying in El Paso was not on my list of things to do after my enlistment was up.

The Journey of Boundless Faith

Boundless FaithI would like for you to take a few minutes and imagine yourself on a journey…a trail through an unknown country or land in which you are unfamiliar. The terrain is dissimilar from what you are accustomed to, the people are nameless strangers, and you have no prior experience or tutoring to help you cope with trying to find your way. You are aware of your own apprehensions, but you are also conscious of your personal desires. All you have on this journey is YOU and that inner voice that you have not been acquainted with. Does this sound familiar? Maybe it does…and somehow you cannot quite put your finger on why this scenario is like déjà vu.

Let me help you understand this development. This is your life; just as it is of the almost seven billion people that populate this planet and everyone who has ever lived. Every first step in life is unfamiliar territory until you find yourself walking in circles. This is called the “Comfort Zone.”

You created this zone of comfort and air of familiarity for your life by passing by it every year. And, this self-produced trail-track has made you totally interdependent on this path. In fact, you have become extremely emotionally attached to it and it is equally just as attached to you and ever grateful that you created it. However, the life trail you produced is not a true inner desire you have to frequently traffic. You seem stuck because you would rather remain with the mundane instead of following your inner voice that will eventually take you to places where more of you, and your intangibles, may be required.

There is a journey you were meant to take. As every step has purpose, every path has opportunities along the trail of life. The unfortunate thing about our life’s journey is that we have no prior mental knowledge to relate to. All of our premonitions are abstract. Yet, you have a strong intuition—an intrinsic knowing that you are destined for something great, even if your path has led you to mediocrity.

It almost doesn’t seem fair, when you think about it, because it’s like we have been dropped on this planet with no compass, no map, and no instructions. But, is this the way it is, or is it the way we feel? People are frustrated and perplexed while running into one wall after another. And, I don’t blame them for getting frustrated. No! I don’t blame them because most people have not followed their heart. Therefore, what is real to many people is what is in their heads. They understand they are lost (head knowledge), but they can’t see that they are not lost (heart knowledge).

In reality, we have all been given a compass, a map and instructions. The compass is in your spirit, the map is in your brain cells, and the instructions are encoded into your DNA (nature). Have you ever noticed how animal and plant life need no human interference when it comes to them fulfilling their creative design?

Who teaches the fish to swim, the birds to fly, the lions to roar, or the caterpillar to go through its metamorphosis to turn into a butterfly? Each of God’s creation has a natural propensity to follow their internal genetic coding. Therefore, flight is placed into birds, the ability to swim is crammed-packed into the fishes, and the lions know habitually how to roar. Human beings were created after the similitude of God and therefore we have been given the power of choice or will. Our choices, when we follow our hearts, are what lead us to do great things, or to achieve mediocre things because we follow our minds.

There are hidden clues and treasures along life’s pathway which are concealed just for you to discover. Once you discover these remarkable gems, you are to learn why you were given them. If you can discover the ‘why’ to what it is you are suppose to know, then the ‘how’ will become easy to perform! You will turn problems into products, you will honor time, not money, and you will be able to see how wealth is hiding behind what you are afraid to do.

People usually apply fear rather than faith when it comes to living a successful life. To reach your potential is an effortless accomplishment when you learn to live your life according to the principles of faith. Ordinary people with faith can pull off extraordinary accomplishments.

Start your journey of boundless faith, today!

Living Beyond Mere Existence

Living Beyond Mere Existence
Live an Exciting Life!
The only thing that stands between a person and what he wants from life is often merely the will to do it and the faith to believe that it is possible. A living faith cannot be manufactured by the rule of majority.

Faith walkers will never blend in with those who govern their life by logic. Reason is good when the situation is humanly possible; faith is called for when it’s not. A faith that hasn’t been tested can’t be trusted. Faith is a passionate intuition and he who has faith has an inward reservoir of courage, hope, confidence, and calmness. Prayer may be the way to reach heaven, but faith is the key to unlock its door.

Standing Still or Moving On

Standing Still or Moving
Standing Still or Moving On?
In February of nineteen hundred and eighty-four, I made one of the most important decisions of my life. I decided to walk away, and never return, from a people who were generally pessimistic. After careful consideration, I felt I had no choice but to walk away from those who had an unproductive philosophy that kept me struggling and mystified. Only then, was I able to comprehend the length, breadth, and height of my decision. If you have a desire to achieve anything of significance, you have to disallow your life to be circumscribed by people who are stuck in mediocrity and have no desire to move beyond it. They may be good people; they are just not good for you.

How Cleaning Your Closet Can Help You Break Bad Habits

Messy Closet
Messy Closet
Are you embarrassed by the disgraceful state of your closet? Do you quickly throw things inside and slam the door, hoping that the closet’s entire contents won’t come crashing down? Are you secretly hoping someone will come and straighten out your mess so that you will not have to personally deal with what you have created—giving you a fresh start? What does your cluttered closet have to do with the state of your mind?

Whether you are an inveterate procrastinator, a junk food junkie, or a perennial job hopper, I believe the first step to breaking any bad habit is to clean up your clutter. If your closet is messy and unorganized, your thoughts probably are too—so start small and work your way up to the big stuff. If you are interested in being successful or starting a business and you do not have enough time to read twenty books, first sit down and determine in your mind and heart what you really want to do. Once you have made your determination about your future, you are then in the captain’s seat.

There is no elevator designed to take you to the success floor; you have to take the stairs. One-step at a time towards the goal line of accomplishment is the difference between dreaming about success and living it. Usually, people are looking to increase their bottom line when they have not yet figured out why the line is at the bottom. Being organized is the initial way to ensure success, but having no plan is unquestionably a way to kill your dream. When you organize your thoughts, it is an indication that your life is organized as well.

Let me give three important principles to help you succeed in business, increase your job performance and even make your life better. These three principles can easily become actionable and will produce immediate results, if they are used appropriately.

  • Discover if the sky is the limit for your dream business or if it’s the top of your closet.
Most people end up putting their dreams on the shelf because they were unwilling to exit their comfort zone.
  • Develop the skills to become your own “Think Tank.”
It is a good feeling to accept money generated by your thoughts. However, it is a better feeling knowing how to make your business or life work for you.
  • Visualize yourself as a mover and a shaker.
In the 1970s, Lee Iacocca became the man to champion the Ford Mustang when it was considered by the Ford Corporation to be held in limbo. He was later hired by the struggling Chrysler Corporation, whose federal debt was nearly a billion dollars. In 1983, Lee Iacocca wrote a check for the Chrysler Corporation in the amount of $813,467, 500 to clear their federal debt and he became a premier business innovator to this day.
